Olivia Van Goor will join the Henry Ford Big Band for a show at The Nardin Park United Methodist Church. Together they will perform Holiday Favorites and new songs from Olivia’s debut Christmas Album “Waiting for Santa.” The Show begins is from 7:00pm-8:30pm with the doors opening at 6:15pm.
Olivia has built a reputation for not only being an excellent vocalist, but a creative force that has yielded two EPs, first “When the Shadows Fall” in 2021 and the second being “Don’t Be Mad At Me” which released in 2023. She has toured throughout the Midwest, and recently received Michigan Music Award nominations for "Best Jazz Single" and "Rising Star".
The Henry Ford Big Band was formed in 1983 and features a repertoire comprising jazz, swing, and latin tunes from jazz-era greats including Glenn Miller, Buddy Rich, Duke Ellington, Maynard Ferguson, and more. The band boasts a global resumé, including performances at prestigious jazz festivals, concert halls, and events in the US and Europe.
