Olivia Van Goor’s love of jazz music led her to Southeast Michigan where she blossomed into a one-of-a kind performer. Her voice is clearly influenced by the greats like Sarah Vaughan, Anita O’Day, and Mel Tormé. She walks a fine line between preserving the essence of jazz and infusing it with her personal artistry. Olivia takes command of every stage because of the trusting relationships she has built with instrumentalists far and wide. Her long list of collaborators include accomplished musicians such as pianist Scott Gwinnell, bassist Paul Keller, and guitarist Randy Napoleon. She has independently produced many recordings including an arrangement of Burt Bacharach’s “Close To You” that has recently reached 20K views on You Tube.

Olivia Van Goor, from Detroit, is visiting Fermata Brewing again with her band. Olivia is a jazz vocalist based in Detroit, MI and no stranger to the Pittsburgh area. She is back at Fermata Brewing touring her new album, "Waiting For Santa".
They will have a dedicated show on the brewhouse stage beginning at 6:00pm. Dinner will be served by Black Dog Wood Fired Pizzeria, beginning promptly at 7:30.
Enjoy a thoughtfully curated four course meal and beer pairing dinner from 7:30 to 9:00.

Detroit-based jazz vocalist Olivia Van Goor returns with another festive holiday jazz show, celebrating the release of her new album "Waiting for Santa". Joined by a Michigan-based rhythm section, they’ll sing and swing through nostalgic holiday favorites and fresh new originals.
Merrimans' Playhouse was founded by Stephen Merriman and Mary Merriman, who began their Jazz Performance Series in December of 2006. They incorporated in 2017 as a 501(c)(3). It is a place to experience intimate, live jazz, providing cutting edge sonic art that is performed genuinely and consistently at a high level.

The Kerrytown Concert House is a renovated 19th century house, whose first floor has been transformed into an L-shaped recital hall with an intimacy and acoustics unmatched in the region. Come and enjoy the music of Ella Fitzgerald who was an American jazz singer who became world famous for the wide range and rare sweetness of her voice. She became an international legend during a career that spanned some six decades.
