The Insiders with Special Guest Shadows & Light!

Presented by Detroit vocalist Olivia Van Goor and Lansing drummer Jeff Shoup, Shadows & Light takes its name from Joni Mitchell’s iconic 1979 live album, which featured an all-star lineup of jazz legends: Pat Metheny on guitar, Jaco Pastorius on bass, Don Alias on drums and percussion, Lyle Mays on piano, and Michael Brecker on saxophones. Inspired by Joni’s boundary-pushing songwriting and genre-defying collaborations, Shadows & Light: The Music of Joni Mitchell is a heartfelt tribute that seeks not only to honor her work, but to carry forward the spirit of creative exploration that defines it.
